Richard Branson unveiled today the carrier ship that will lift Virgin Galactic’s Space Ship Two 60,000 feet into the atmosphere. Space Ship Two will then fire its rocket and take off into space. The first of the new, larger model of the original prototype was christened “Eve” after Branson’s mother. Hundreds of people have paid over $200k for one of the first trips into space and many were on hand today for the official debut of the first aircraft. The first commercial flights should be within 18 to 24 months. Give me 3 or 4 years and I’m all over this action.
